Popular actor Dipika Kakar has been diagnosed with a liver tumour - the size of a “tennis ball,” her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, revealed. The 38-year-old actor has been battling health issues for quite some time now and initially thought the pain she endured was due to acidity.
"Dipika is fine now, but the issue she has is a little serious. When we were in Chandigarh recently, Dipika started having pain in her stomach, and initially, we thought it was due to acidity; she treated it thinking it was an acidity-related issue. But when the pain did not go away, she consulted our family doctor, who also treated our father. He gave some antibiotics and asked her to get blood tests done,” Shoaib revealed on her vlog on social media.
“She once again started experiencing pain, and meanwhile, the blood test reports came, which indicated that she had an infection in her body," he added.
Shoaib said the main concern was whether it was a malignant tumour, but he shared that the initial report mentioned it to be non-cancerous. Shoaib said that while the CT scan determined it to be a benign tumour, a crucial test report will arrive on Friday.
