Mahesh often posts videos and photos of Kareena Kapoor training under his guidance and has recently revealed a number of things about her workout routine that can benefit many others too. He talked about how the actor initially started with building her consistency and discipline and gradually moved her focus to strength training at least 4x a week. The trainer also said that they train for an hour every session and sometimes more but they make sure to squeeze in 14-15 different variations in each. Mahesh also revealed that they focus on HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts where Kareena is completely present and all-set to take on any challenge that comes aboard. “That’s what makes it fun,” adds Mahesh Ghanekar.
He said that Kareena has shed considerable weight through a combination of intermittent fasting, a healthy diet and by incorporating weight training. “Her weight dropped from 67.5 kgs to 64 kgs and we are targeting another 2-3 kgs. She has also reduced inches from her arms and body in general,” mentioned Mahesh, Kareena’s fitness trainer. He also said that weight training has been going well for Kareena and the actress can feel the strength growing.
Kareena is known for her healthy approach towards fitness and has also opened up about how she wants to get rid of the “I want to lose weight” attitude and start looking at fitness in a holistic way through overall well-being.
