If there has been one market that is constantly and consistently been on the rise, it is the anti-ageing market that is expanding rapidly. There has been a growing demand for scientific approaches to be turned personalised. The focus in the country has also been shifting gradually from just 'hiding' visible ageing signs to switching to age reversal procedures to deeper biological health.
In the wellness industry, the global anti-ageing products market was estimated at $52.44 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach $80.61 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 7.7%, according to Market Analysis Report.
Recently, a Stanford professor, Dr. David Furman, made it to the headlines for reversing his biological age by 10 years through a process that consisted extreme lifestyle changes, no internet, moving to a forest and living by a candlelight. Can such extreme measures reduce or reverse your biological age? The short answer is yes. The long route of understanding what chronic stress does to your body. It increases inflammation, hampers immune system, causes hormonal damage and even damages DNA overtime. And this chronic stress is one of the fastest accelerators of ageing, more so, biological ageing. And when Furman cut himself off from the world to sit in a forest with no Wi-Fi, he escaped the everyday stressors. But is it feasible for everyone to do so? The answer is no. It is a bit impractical.

There has been a constant boom in the West when it comes to discussions about longevity, NAD+ boosters, intermittent fasting, biohacking, and mitochondrial health. India is, however, more focused on the concept of biological ageing with the main thing being skin-deep.
Another important thing to notice here is that biological ageing is all about how old your body is based on your health and not your actual age in years. So, it highly depends on factors like exercise, diet, stress, sleep and your overall lifestyle. Someone may be 30 years old but their body can that be of a 20 year old or 40 year old, depending upon these factors.
