So, you were able to reach your desired goal on the scale with all the hardwork, consistency and discipline. You were able to finally look in the mirror and be proud of yourself for the way you looked. But now, there is another fear looming upon you, the fear of gaining it all back like anything. The weight loss journey is like putting the boulder up the hill, it is very challenging when it comes to keeping those kilos off. The real task actually begins after you reach your desired goal and have to keep up with it. Many people struggle with slipping up and losing the streak that had so proudly been following.
Here are 3 tips by a certified fitness coach, Raj Ganpath, that help in keeping the weight off.
Stay aware
Stay aware and keep up the discipline. Many people get to the shape of their life and lose the momentum they had built over the years or months. This is one of the biggest pitfalls. You need regular check-ins and need to follow with the same consistency and discipline.
Don’t overeat
One thing about your favourite dessert is that it is going to be there the next day as well. So, mindful eating is the key. You don’t have to fall on the emotional rollercoaster and eat whatever you feel like everyday. Irrespective of what you are eating, don’t overeat. When you are managing calories you just have to eat how much ever you burn every single day. And that is just enough.
Exercise
Exercising is not just important for weight loss but to keep yourself healthy in general. After reaching the desired weight on the scale, many people begin to skip exercise and not show up for workouts altogether. The instinct tells you to relax but you have to make exercise your everyday routine.
